Polyurethane tactile tile PT14 – “Attention” tile with anti-slip surface
The PT14 tactile tile is designed for warning zones – installed before stairs, ramps, pedestrian crossings, transport stops and building entrances. Its raised dot pattern warns visually impaired pedestrians about upcoming hazards or route changes, providing both tactile and visual contrast in accordance with European accessibility standards. The surface has an anti-slip effect, ensuring safe walking in wet, snowy, or humid conditions.
Made of high-quality thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), PT14 tiles are elastic, durable and weather-resistant. They can be installed directly onto existing surfaces without demolition or cutting recesses. This makes them a practical and efficient solution for schools, hospitals, pharmacies, administrative buildings and public spaces where accessibility and safety are required.
Advantages of PT14 tactile tiles
Compared with concrete or ceramic alternatives, polyurethane tactile tiles PT14 offer greater flexibility, durability and resistance to wear. They maintain a bright yellow color and clear relief even after years of use under heavy pedestrian traffic and sunlight exposure. Installation is fast, clean and requires no complex preparation – the tiles are bonded directly to the substrate using a professional adhesive.
- Anti-slip surface with raised dots – maximum pedestrian safety
- Installation without removing or damaging existing flooring
- No noisy or dusty construction work required
- UV-, frost- and moisture-resistant material
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications
- Bright yellow color for optimal visual contrast
- Easy maintenance and long service life
Application
The PT14 tactile tile is used in “Attention” zones – near entrances, ramps, stairs, on sidewalks, bus stops, and inside public buildings. It complies with EN 15209 and ISO 23599 standards and can be combined with directional tactile tiles to form complete guidance systems. For installation, it is recommended to use the adhesive PT-K-600 ml MS FIX, which ensures strong bonding to asphalt, concrete, ceramic, and stone surfaces.
Compatible substrates:
- Asphalt and road concrete
- Cement screed and polished concrete
- Ceramic or porcelain tiles, natural stone
- Metal or polymer surfaces
- Interior floors in public buildings
